Winner of the Observer Food Monthly Award's Best Bar of the Year 2008, Camino's ethos has been to bring the highest quality Spanish cuisine and a unique latin atmosphere to the re-emerging King's Cross nightlife, London.
TLC were commissioned to design a promotional tool that illustrated the vision and enthusiasm responsible for bring the place to life.
Our concept was to create a 'personally compiled' notebook sent by 'R' (an ingenious pseudonym for Richard Bigg, the venue's otherwise gregarious founder) to an unknown 'friend', allowing for a warmer and more charming outcome than might otherwise have been acheived.
The book is both written and illustrated as if in first-person right down to a 'mixtape' style CD that accompanies the book, showcasing a selection of tracks from bands and artists that frequently play live at the venue.
TLC also created the initial Camino website in conjunction with agency Formation and are about to embark on a web2.0 overhaul of this in the near future - watch this space..
